Yurtseven from Media Day

November 5, 2019 - Having transferred from North Carolina State last year, Georgetown's 6'10", 260 pound, junior pivot Omer Yurtseven was afforded his first opportunity for discussion with the media Sunday during the Hoyas' media day. For those with no prior relationship with him, he's a thoughtful, well spoken guy, one who seemingly understands basketball and people.

That and more were on display when Yurtseven fielded multiple questions at the Thompson Athletic Center on Georgetown's campus. Below is a snippet of his individual session, and contains comments regarding the team's practice focus (defense), rebounding, commonalities between his former coach - Kevin Keatts - and current head guy Pat Ewing when it comes to pushing players, plus whether he likes intense motivation.
