Selected Philly Live '22 Players

Following are several players of many that stood out during the second edition of Philly Live '22.

To discuss this article and players in it - Freeman, Brown and Rougier-Roane are specifically treated, visit Premium Court!

Donnie Freeman - St. John's College Prep (DC) Class of 2024, 6'9, 210 pound forward. Freeman tantalized onlookers with his shooting and mobility. Must get stronger and embrace more interior work. Is long, has tools.

Georgetown is one of many big time programs that covet him, including possible leader Maryland, Marquette, Xavier, Norfolk State, Rutgers, Va Tech and more. Rivals.com has him affixed a four star ranking, while slotting him 24th in this class.

Khaafiq Myers - Neumann-Goretti (PA) Class of 2024, 5'11, 150 pound point guard. Capable of driving, scoring and finding. Must become a better perimeter shooter.

NJIT, Wichita State and Drexel are in the mix.

Robert Wright - Neumann-Goretti (PA) Class of 2024, 61", 175 pound guard. A bucket getter, Wright puts much pressure on defenses. Is capable of finding. Probably should embrace more of a lead guard role.

As a coach said "Everyone in America wants him". This includes Maryland, Wake Forest, Miami and Syracuse. Rivals.com ranks him 25th in his class, and gave him a four star designation.

Bruce Smith - Neumann-Goretti (PA) Class of 2023, 6'2", 185 pound guard. Think shooter when pondering Smith, a tough competitor who can stretch the floor. Must make more plays for others.

Division II schools love him.

Xzayvier Brown - Roman Catholic (PA), Class of 2023, 6'2, 170 pound guard. A lead guard that scores at all three levels, Brown was dynamic at times. Needs to be more consistent in that regard, which greater strength can help. Also Brown should become more vocal on court.

USC recently offered. St. Joe's and VCU did so previously.

Anthony Finkel - Roman Catholic (PA), Class of 2023, 6'7", 230 pound forward. St. Joes has a good player coming in '23, a guy that drives much better than his frame indicates. Resultantly attacks tin well.

Didn't demonstrate much outside shooting, but claims he's capable. In college will have to focus on rebounding more.

Jalen Rougier-Roane - Sidwell Friends (DC), Class of 2025, 6'4", 185 pound guard/forward. Rougier-Roane is a true sleeper, one that increasingly shoots and finishes. From long distance, has been extremely effective this spring/summer. Is active defensively. A straight line type driver, Jalen will have to get a little more wiggle and explosion off the bounce, while also embracing change of pace.

Marquette, NJIT and Norfolk State have offered, as did George Mason. Many more will follow.
