Played last year the American Professional Basketball League's Beltway Bombers. Is attempting to return Europe this season, as he's secured different representation. A smart team should grab him up.
Riyan Williams - 6'3", 180 pound senior guard, Georgetown - As Pro City Kenner has continued, Williams looks more comfortable, mixing drives and shots....
Elon Bush - 6'6", 00 pound forward, Metropolitan Athletics - Dropped 28 points. A smart player that defends and mostly scores form the midrange in. Competes and talks.
Brian Chase - 5'8", 170 pound point guard, A. Wash - In his return to DC Pro City Kenner, Chase exhibited once again he's one of the best DMV pros; this guy is a playmaker/floor general who can score. Makes everyone better. Scored 22 points, easily.
Played at Germany's Bremerhaven last year, and hopes to return.
Chris Matthews - 6'5", 210 pound guard, A. Wash - For years Matthews has been known as a DMV sharpshooter. Can still tickle the twine from deep, and over the years has added vocal leadership, driving and defense to what he provides. Thinks the game constantly. Scored 13 points. Follow him on Instagram's LethalShooter or visit his website, TheLethalShooter.co.
Matthews could return to the pro ranks, or enter coaching. The latter tracks as a future profession for Matthews, who has always seen the game with a coach's eye.
Phil Hawkins - 6'0", 185 pound point guard, Beyond Belief - Almost forgotten in the DMV, Hawkins has once again demonstrated he can play with the DMV's best, whether that be passing, scoring or defending. Is physically strong and plays with heart.
After Paris (tx) JUCO, Hawkins attended Texas State. Did not participate in organized hoops last season, though indicated "My goal is to play professionally". Is capable of it, just needs capable representation. Good franchises should be hotly on him.
A football standout while younger, many in the DMV has speculated Hawkins had NFL caliber ability at defensive back. Does he wish he concentrated on the gridiron? "Yes, kind of " responded Hawkins with a smile. "People were saying I should have played football, but I was and am in love with basketball".
Akoy Agau - 6'8", 230 pound sophomore forward, Georgetown, Ohhs and Ahhs - Rim ran and defended at a high level. Was aggressive in all phases of the game...
Robert Carter - 6'8", 220 pound sophomore forward, Maryland, Ohhs and Ahhs - Started out like gangbusters scoring inside and out, finishing 16 points in the first half, yet only two in the second. Went at G'Town's Copeland.
Must continue to get stronger, thereby allowing his blend of inside/outside offensive ability to flourish.
Isaac Copeland - 6'8", 210 pound sophomore forward, Georgetown, Clyde's - Had a nice series going at Maryland's Carter, with the pair competing directly. Scored 20 points.
Has worked on shooting and...
L.J. Peak - 6'5", 200 pound sophomore guard, Georgetown, Clyde's - Did not play...
Paul Jorgensen - 6'3", 190 pound sophomore guard, GW, Clyde's - Finished with 23 points, 17 scored in the first half. Can put up points in bunches. Should work in more ball distribution and better on ball defense.
Greg Whittington - 6'8", 190 pound wingman, Tombs - In his first Pro City Kenner action of the year, Whittington, the former Hoya, finished with 13 points. Click here for more on Whittington, including his work with the NBA's Miami Heat in summer league action, Pro City Kenner experience and future pro plans.
Corey Allmond - 6'2", 175 pound guard, Premier Athletics - A sharpshooter, Allmond sniped his way to 21 points, including six balls. He can stroke it.
Last season competed for Rochester RazorSharks of the Professional Basketball League. Hopes to hit Canada or Europe this season.
Jonathan McNair - 6'2", 190 pound guard, Ulster University Elks (Ireland), Tombs - A standout at St. Thomas Aquinas College, McNair is now headed to Ireland's Ulster University, where he will play for a season while obtaining his MBA. Is a smart, tough player.
Scored six points, while also strapping, rebounding and helping lead his team. Will embrace the little things for a squad. Is a winner.
Kaleb Johnson - 6'8", 200 pound freshman forward, Georgetown, Tombs - Played possibly his best Pro City Kenner game, as the lefty finished with...
Cedrick Lindsay - 6'0", 190 pound guard, Tombs - After missing his senior year at Richmond due to a knee injury, Lindsay is well on the way to becoming a pro player. Scored eight points, but showed the ability to get past defenders and finish in the lane, despite working his way into shape.
Indicated "I'm weighing my options professionally", with possiblities in Italy and Lithuania existing. Wherever he signs, that team will get a steal.
Jessie Govan - 6'10, 260 pound freshman center, Georgetown, Tombs - Scored 11 points. Looked a step slower than usual, possibly due to fatigue.
