October 15, 2017 - After securing the commitments of Josh Leblanc and and Mac McLung - two standout Class of 2018 performers - over the last two days, some may have thought now that the annual Hoya Madness celebration is over, G'Town's coaches would relax. Hey, they just cemented two of a current three man (including Grayson Carter) incoming class.

Well, they are not chillaxin' so to speak. Pat Ewing and his coaches are out recruiting.

Want proof? Witness the offer to Class of 2020 wing Che Evans by head coach Pat Ewing. Assistant Akbar Waheed has been a fixture in Evans' recruitment.

A 6'6", 215 pound swingman, Evans has a slew of scholarship offers, with schools like G'Town, St. John's, Georgia Tech, UNLV and TCU in the mix. Many others, such as Villanova, Kansas State, Penn State, Maryland and others also tendered him free-education opportunities, or are showing major interest.

What do they see from Evans?

Smooth and skilled, Evans is an accomplished scorer, one beyond his years in that regard. Used to facing up in isolation, he has a myriad of one-two dribble seperation moves, while also being being able to get in the lane and finish above the rim.

Defensively, Evans is capable of keeping drivers out of the lane, contesting shots and given his size rebounds can be garnered. Those around him expect more consistency from him in both boarding and strapping going forward, given his capability.
