October 14, 2017 - This summer, Georgetown was in hot pursuit of Mac McClung; the Class of 2018 guard was a chief Hoya recruiting prospect, one which head coach Pat Ewing and staff greatly coveted. In fact, if the 6'2", 175 pound McClung had decided to reclass upward and join the Blue and Grey this fall, he would have likely had the inside track on being its point guard this season.

Well, he still may, though starting next season; per another source, McClung, on an official visit to Georgetown this weekend, has chosen Georgetown! The news was first broken on our Premium Court message board

A former Rutgers commit who decided the Scarlet Knights were not his cup of tea during a fall visit, McClung is currently a three star player, per Rivals.com. He's uber explosive and athletic, can score in bunches, embraces hoops' mental game and is willing to learn the sports' inner game, as well as point guard specifics.

McClung, an excellent student at Gate City High School (VA), also performed well with Team Loaded this summer on Adidas' Gauntlet circuit.
