Wright making waves in Turkey

Not being drafted was a blow to former Georgetown Hoya Chris Wright, a former McDonald's All-American who though at times had a career that could be defined as mercurial, nevertheless proved himself a talented guard in Blue and Grey. Wright, whose career spanned 2007-2011 was always known for his competitive fire and aggressiveness, while also learning to run a team.

Former Georgetown Guard Chris Wright Named Eurobasket.com Player of the Week
WASHINGTON - Former Georgetown University men's basketball player Chris Wright (C'11) was named the Eurobasket.com Player of the Week after his performance for the team he is playing for in Turkey.
Playing for Olin Edirne, Wright recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists in an 89-82 win over Triumph.
In his first season for the team, which has a 2-4 record in the EuroChallenge Group F, Wright is averaging 13.2 points per game and 5.2 assists per game.
Wright was an All-BIG EAST Third Team selection last year, when he finished second on the team in scoring with 12.9 points per game. The 6-1 guard led the team with 5.28 assists per game, which ranked third in the BIG EAST. He scored in double figures 18 times, including five games with at least 20 points. Wright handed out a career-high 12 assists twice during the season.
Wright became the 42nd player in Georgetown history to score 1,000 points and finished his career ranked 19th all-time in scoring on the Hilltop with 1,369 points. He is also ranked sixth all-time in assists with 442 and is one of only seven players in school history to hand out at least 400.
