Waters granted release

Just learned via his Twitter account, Class of 2017 point guard Tremont Waters has been granted a release from his letter of intent. The meaning? He is no longer bound to attend Georgetown and now can enroll at any university that offers him a scholarship.

As recapped earlier today, Waters signed with G'Town in October, to much Hoya Nation fanfare. At the end of this past 14-18 season he about-faced, asking out of his Georgetown commitment.

New Head Hoya Patrick Ewing was scheduled to visit Waters and his family on Friday, ostensibly to persuade the Rivals.com four star floor general ranked 36th in his class Georgetown is still the place for him. That would be a continuation of recent conversations.
