Thompson set to visit Verizon for NBA workout

June 13, 2012 - Georgetown's second leading scorer and second leading rebounder at 12.8 points and 5.5 caroms per game, respectively, now departed junior Hollis Thompson put in work on the Hoyas' home court, D.C.'s Verizon Center. For the 2011-2012 season, the 6'8" forward/guard also shot 43% from three point land - first on the team and in the BIG EAST - while also tying for third on the team with 1.5 assists each time out, work done during 31.1 minutes per game.
Well, Thompson is scheduled to once again enter the Verizon Center, not gracing the building's main floor but competing in it's practice gym: Attempting to be drafted or invited to a National Basketball Association team, Thompson will work out for that league's Washington franchise, the Wizards.

Slated to join Thompson are Grambling's Quincy Roberts and Florida's Brad Beal. Both are similar to Thompson in that they are swingmen known to put the ball in the cup.
Thompson is obviously known to put the ball in the basket, particularly from a long distance, spot up position. While on The Hilltop, he also improved his rebounding, toughness and ball handling.
