June 9, 2020 - Class of 2020 forward Jamari Sibley is the crown jewel of Georgetown’s incoming group. Ranked 105th overall and slotted a four star performer, Sibley, a Milwaukee native, attended Oak Hill (VA) last season.

His 2019-20 campaign was an up and down affair: After standing out at the most storied programs in America, Sibley later in the season he suffered a severe arm injury, necessitating many missed games. Nevertheless the 6’7” performer was scheduled to compete in his team’s biggest tournament, the Geico High School Nationals. That too took a nosedive, with Covid-19 eliminating that and other indoor sports competitions.

He didn’t play in East Coast Bump – where Oak Hill lost to homestanding Saint Frances (MD) in somewhat humbling fashion – but the event afforded an opportunity to catch up with him. There, Sibley discussed his Hoya recruitment including who did the heavy lifting and why Blue and Grey was chosen, Oak Hill, reasons for transferring there, health and more!

See Premium Court for that session.

Be sure to return for more on Sibley and all of G’Town’s recruiting class!
