Pro Focus for Aminu

Georgetown's Hoyas confirmed they will be without three players going forward, freshmen Tyler Beard and Jalin Billingsley along with junior Timothy Igohefe yesterday. More change will occur for head coach Pat Ewing's 6-25 overall, 0-19 in the BIG EAST this season, team.

A central piece that may also be absent in 2022-23 is Aminu Mohammed. This morning his mentor, Shawn Harmon, updated Mohammed's status directly:

"Aminu has started the draft process, he is 100% committed to the process, and at this time will leave open the possibility of returning to school. His total focus at this point is preparing for the daft!!!"

As a freshman guard, Mohammed averaged 13.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for Georgetown, work that landed the 6'4" plus inch newcomer on the BIG EAST's Freshman Team. Furthering his bonafides was being a unanimous choice.

Ewing frequently applauded Mohammed's competitive desire and embrace of his role, which included scoring, glass cleaning and defending, all while being at the top of team's scouting reports.

Prior to The Hilltop, Mohammed initially starred at Archbishop Carroll (DC), before landing at Greenwood (MO), where over three years; scored 3,219 points and 1,478 rebounds, was twice the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year twice, garnered Missouri Basketball Coaches Association's Mr. Show-Me Basketball accolades and earned the rare air of being accepted into the McDonald All-American family
