Pro City Kenner Notes: Day 2

July 15, 2015 = Saturday, the second Day of DC Nike Pro City Kenner League play did not disappoint. Published on our Premium Court message board, a report detailing the performances of Tre Campbell, Kaleb Johnson, Trey Mourning, L.J. Peak, Isaac Copeland, Riyan Williams, D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, Marcus Derrickson, Jessie Govan and Paul White exists.
Below are the write ups on Derrickson and Govan, along with others regarding selected participants.

Paul Jorgensen - 6'2", 185 pound sophomore guard, GW - Clyde's - A clearly muscled Jorgensen can be an offensive wildcard in that he's capable of shooting the rock from all over the floor. Drives strongly, is willing to finish around size. Needs to distribute the ball more consistently.
Jared Sina - 6'0', 185 pound junior guard, GW - On Point - A transfer from Seton Hall, Sina sent at teammate Jorgensen (and vice versa) at times, producing a nice battle. Scored eight points. Can drive, and shoot. Can get in better shape, which will come.
Josh Hart - 6'5", 190 pound junior wing, Villanova - On Point - Took over the game for a spurt, finishing on breaks, shooting and strapping up. As tweeted earlier by @HoyaNation, Hart is going to be a problem in the BIG EAST this year. Finished with 11 points, which undersells his impact. Hustled on the the top end of the spectrum. Needs to nail down his outside shooting more consistently.
Marcus Ginyard - 6'5", 215 pound wing - On Point - The last year was challenging for Ginyard, who started last season in the D-League with Westchester. He got injured early, and with Westchester holding his rights he wasn't able to go overseas. Is intent on "re-establishing myself in Europe" in '15-'16.
His future pro home looks to be well served, as despite declaring "I'm so out of shape right now", dropped 42 points and really only stepping up in the second half. Ginyard's shot, a longtime question mark has improved. Couple that with his driving/finishing ability and it's clear Ginyard is an impact player.
Jessie Govan - "Very active, got back on defense. Solid hands. Even hit a pair of threes. Comfy at high post/face up. Footwork has to improve, ends up off balance on his hooks and shots. 21 points".
Marcus Derrickson - "Is in very good shape. Hit spot up 3's, particularly from top of key. Went coast to coast one play. Aggressive. Had a good battle with (Paul) White - they look to push each other for minutes. Even heard White remark about Derrickson's shot selection. Hahaha. Perimeter defense not solid. 15 points".
Bryon Allen - 6'3" guard, Beyond Belief - A former George Mason standout, Allen gets buckets, whether by driving, shooting or finishing. Goes hard constantly. Scored 20 points. Never backs down from a challenge.
Shared "I was in Poland last year". May return there, or try his hand in Italy or Austria this season.
Brandon Young - 6'3" guard, Hoop Magic - A former DePaul star, Young played with the Maverick's D League affiliate. This year he may travel to Greece, Italy or Austria to play. Is a crafty driver who uses his handle, quickness and length to get around foes. Must be a more consistent jump shooter. Scored nine points.
