Hubbard should continue his work off the bounce. Is poised for a big senior season.
Akoy Agau - 6'9", 230 pound sophomore forward, Georgetown, Ohhs and Ahhs - Continued his stout play in the paint, including logging three blocks. Also added a pair of...
Tyler Cavanaugh - 6'8", 230 pound junior forward, GW, Ohhs and Ahhs - Transfer from Wake Forest is sitting out, but has shown Foggy Bottom hoops nuts have reason to be happy, as he rebounds, shoots and competes. Is a battler.
During his transfer year off, Cavanaugh should continue polishing his post work and mid-to-three point shooting.
Yuta Watanabe - 6'8", 185 pound sophomore forward, GW, Ohhs and Ahhs - Long and skilled, Watanabe pulls up for three or slices to the rim. A lefty who just gets buckets, Yuta scored 18 points.
Needs to continue strength development, as he doesn't take bumps as well as needed.
Alvin Brown - 6'10", 200 pound center, Premier Athletics - A recent Mongolian league veteran, Brown is a shot blocker, rebounder and finisher, one who is long and active. Starred collegiately at USC-Aiken. May return to Asia.
Austin Cooley - 6'4", 175 pound swingman, Premier Athletics - It's been five years since Cooley played for Niagara for a year, after which he bounced around collegiately (though never competed), before turning pro. Yet he still gets it done on the court; Austin uses athletic ability and competitiveness to battle any and everybody. Slashes to the cup, finishes, and blocks shots regularly.
Last year he played for Buffalo of the PBL. His path this season is up in the air.
Sean Beins - 6'8", 240 pound senior forward, Mercyhurst, Premier Athletics - Beins has competed in the Pro City Kenner League for a quartet of years now, each one proving he can bang, set picks, rebound, defend and increasingly hit mid-range jumpers. There is no doubt he belongs on this stage.
Has playing in this league helped him? "There's no question about it" said Beins, who regularly competes with and against professionals.
Kaleb Johnson - 6'8", 200 pound freshman forward, Georgetown, Tombs - Was active, rebounded well - particularly offensively - defended and ran a lot of...
Jessie Govan - 6'10", 260 pound freshman center, Georgetown, Tombs - Scored 28 points, scored on dunks, jump hooks...
Zach Thomas - 6'5", 200 pound sophomore forward, Bucknell, Ohhs and Ahhs - A midrange shooting killer, Thomas scored 11 points, mostly from that area. Understands the offensive game.
Needs to extend his consistent range beyond three point land, in addition to working on his explosion.
