Big East Basketball has a die-hard following, one comprised of engaged fans and grizzled media pros. Given the schools are generally small, it' at times can feel niche. Not in a bad way as the knowledge and energy is there, yet the sheer numbers of denizens and dedicated media is not as voluminous as say, the BIG Ten. It's just smaller, yet equal or surpasses other leagues in energy and care.
