On the Jersey Mike's Scene: Spring Talks LMU

As a long standing outlet, HoyaReport.com has chronicled Georgetown Basketball over approaching 20 years. Clearly, relationships have been formed.

One such family member of the site and personally is Mark Spring. A Hoya undergrad and graduate school alum, Spring, also a 20 year high school basketball coach has worked directly and tangentially with some of the best basketball players Northern California has produced during that time period.

That established, he threw us a timely and significant dime - reporting directly from Montego Bay, Jamaica, site of the Jersey Mike's Classic. Georgetown competes there today, with tip-off slated for 430p EST. Click here for game, broadcast, chat and stat information all being here.

Below is much of what he supplied, with still more, specifically feedback from from LMU fans on-site, available on Premium Court.

Enjoy!

1) LMU, like the Hoyas, have a number of transfers. Can you run some down?

Noah Taitz (Stanford) - Three point specialist who played at Vegas' Bishop Gorman. .

Justin Ahrens (Ohio State) - Swingman who is also a sharpshooter.

Rick Issanza (Oklahoma) - Shot blocker, defensive specialist.

2) Best player?

That is senior combo guard Jalin Anderson. He has been coached by former Marquette assistant Stan Johnson (under Wojo).

3) How have the Lions managed, on court this season?

LMU did beat UC Davis last weekend.

Davis is solid and well coached by former NBA player Jim Les.

4) Another player of note?

Another transfer is Michael Graham, a power forward from Elon. Like our Michael Graham he is a rebounding specialsit.

Hoya fans will have to get used to rooting against Michael Graham today (laughter).
