No Chaminade upset for Hoyas

This evening there would be no repeat of 1982, when Chaminade managed the biggest upset in college basketball history, as the then NAIA member Silverswords took out number one ranked Virgina in an epic game that spawned the Maui Invitational; G'Town took care of business in this, the tournament's 29th year, defeating the Hawaii-based school 88-61, in consolation bracket play.
Following is a press release, received almost immediately after completion of the game. For quotes from Chamindade head coach Eric Bovaird and his players Matt Cousins and Waly Coulibaly, see our Open Forum message board.
