Having occurred for several years now, the National High School Hoops Festival is firmly planted on high school hoops lover's calendars in the District-Maryland-Virginia area. Yearly it brings a host of players one will see in college and beyond, up close and in person, to attendees. This year is no different, as December 10th and 11th DeMatha Catholic High School will be rocking with roundball action.
Why did Keith Stevens, head of the Team Takeover travel team basketball organization, again effectuate the Festival?
"It's one of those things when you can bring some stuff back to the community" said Stevens recently. "And people can see some of the kids going to Georgetown and stuff like that before they get to the campuses".
A future Hoya is definitely scheduled to play, as are players who have signed to play for UCLA, Purdue, Syracuse, George Washington, Wake Forest, Fairfield, Cornell, Navy, Baylor, VCU, NC State, Pitt, and other schools.
