March 27, 2013 - Since the Hoyas went down in flames to a then unknown University of Florida Gulf Coast Eagle crew, the Hoya Nation has been on fire with debate of the 54-46 loss. Last Thursday is a day that will long be remembered amongst the Blue and Grey.
Interestingly enough, there haven't been a slew of comments from participants themselves. A few, from a UFGC perspective were provided in FGC executes, sends Hoyas home. They were gleaned from the team's post game news conference.

Luckily, TV outlets produced others, captured in the locker room and in a general interview session. We have some below, others on our Premium Court message board. There, junior guard Markel Starks, contributor of 23 points and six assists, discusses the outcome, sophomore guard Jabril Trawick (11 points, six rebounds, an assist) does similarly, plus head coach John Thompson III opines whether losing in NCAA second round action (the team's first game), makes the season a bust.
A shout out goes to Comcast Sports Net, who initially aired these statements.
Coach John Thompson III on knowing why since 2008, when the Hoyas have made four NCAA tourney appearances, they have fell to a double digit seeded team, each time: I wish I could, trust me, more than anyone on this earth. Try to analyze it, think about it, try to see what we could do differently. And…I don't know".
Nate Lubick (four points, six rebounds, three assists) on his emotional state and and going forward: "It's tough right now coming off the loss like that in the tournament. It's going to hurt for awhile.
"Last couple of years, whenever you get knocked out of some tournament, it's hard. But everybody - we're still Georgetown. We'll stay together, and we'll figure it out".
