Hoyas travel into hostile den tonight

February 15, 2013 - Will Georgetown's six game winning streak by maintained or curtailed after tonight? How will the Hoyas respond to what is sure to be a very physical, aggressive foe. Can the Hoyas block out a hyper road crowd?
Starting at 9p tonight, those questions will be answered, as Georgetown takes on Cincinnati this evening. ESPN has cable broadcast right, while Rich Chvotkin does the radio call on WTEM 980. Per usual, enjoy real time, in-game chat on our Premium Court message board.

The Hoyas, 18-4 overall and 8-3 in the BIG EAST, who take on the Bearcats - 19-6, 7-5 in league play and 11-4 at Fifth Third Arena - are braced for Cincy's brand of ball; tough and aggressive. That ethos extends throughout their team, which is presently unranked nationally. G'Town stands at 15th in both the AP and Coaches Polls; still further motivation for the Bearcats.
To hear what certain Hoyas had to say regarding the challenge at hand, see the posting on Premium Court.
There, quotes from head coach John Thompson III, junior Nate Lubick (exclusive), plus sophomore Mikael Hopkins and freshman D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera (semi-exclusive) can be enjoyed. They discuss various aspects of Cincy, including how good Sean Kilpatrick is and the toughness of Cashmere Wright.
Suffice to say no one associated with the program believes this will be a walk in the park.
