Hoyas take on Tide tonight!

December 1, 2011 - Tonight is a big evening for the Hoyas, as they suit up at Alabama, at 9:30p. Georgetown stands at 5-1 for the season overall, while the Tide, ranked 12th nationally, are 7-0. Both have experienced early season tourneys, with the Blue and Grey traveling for Maui Invitational action, finishing fifth, and Alabama capturing Puerto Rico Tip Off champion hardware.
This game will be a true test for Georgetown, given Alabama's penchant for ball pressure - both full and half court - somewhat a question mark for the Hoyas. Each team is athletic, while the Blue and Grey may be slightly deeper bench wise.

The two coaches, John Thompson III of G'Town and 'Bamas' Anthony Grant are known for their tactical ability - Grant is widely associated with defense, Thompson the offensive end of the floor. Many do not realize they coached together with the 2008 USA under 18 team, precipitating a certain exposure level to each other.
Following are pre-game, video interviews from Thompson, Markel Starks, Hollis Thompson, Jason Clark and Nate Lubick:
