Hoyas Ramped Up For Rogers

With a new mentality and unbridled focus predicated on actively pursuing the best available prospects across all classes, Georgetown has made bigs a priority. While Georgetown has gained momentum with the signing of UConn transfer Akok Akok, they've been consistent in scouring the high school landscape for hulking behmoths and polished interior scoring threats.

Class of 2025 big Kai Rogers of Wauwatosa West (WI) Wisconsin Playground AAU and was recently offered by Georgetown. As a multi-faceted scorer with a noticeable relentlessness on the glass, Rogers has rapidly risen as a proven commodity recruit.

The once space eater has developed a more svelte look, becoming lighter on his feet and more explosive in attacking the rim.


At 6-foot-10 and having recently shed 30 pounds while transforming his body as a rim running and ball dominant interior scoring threat, Rogers has been on a tear this AAU season.

He scored 29 points, yanked in 10 boards, and blocked three shots to propel WI Playground to a 59-52 victory over the Houston Defenders. Rogers, who was recently offered by Wisconsin, also had 21 points, eight boards and a wild eight blocks during a 64-50 victory over B Maze Elite.

With his strength and new mobility following the aforementioned body transformation, Rogers is a strong and menacing rim protecting big with the fleet of foot. He's gathered offers from Notre Dame, Iowa, Illinois, Texas, Ole Miss, Milwaukee, and several others, including obviously the Hoyas.
