Aaron Bowen - 6'6", 200 pound senior swingman, Georgetown, DCX - After a shaky first half, Bowen bounced back in the second, finishing with 16 points. Buckets were scored at the rim and from mid-range. Bowen made his presence known.
Got on track after an early 2nd half make...
Brad Hayes - 6'11", 230 pound junior center, Georgetown, DCX - Scored six points, all inside. Grabbed a couple of boards.
Wasn't really...
Mikael Hopkins - 6'8", 230 pound senior forward, Georgetown, Team Takeover - Defended well, rebounded solidly. Was a factor.
Scored 11 points...
Lasan Kromah - 6'4", 200 pound guard, Team Takeover - Fresh off of competing for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA's Orlando Summer League, Kromah shot well - long his wheel house - while also displaying more advanced dribbling skill, including spinning in traffic. Tallied 11 points.
"It's been something I've been working on a lot, just to expand my game" he shared of becoming a better ball handler. "So just using my size and my ball handling abilities to get guys off me, get open shots and get to the basket easily been working to expand on my game. I've been working on that all year".
Of playing for the Pistons' summer league entry, Kromah noted "It was a good experience...seeing how they call out plays and have certain cues out on the court".
Going forward Kromah must make more plays for others.
Jabril Trawick - 6'5", 220 pound senior swingman, Georgetown, Team Takeover - Scored 14 points, mostly by driving and/or getting fouled. Continues to play with force, as usual.
Trawick did what he does...
Chris Braswell - 6'8", 230 pound forward/center, Team Takeover - Japanese league pro scored 21 points, from the paint and after stepping out to 17 feet. Will mix it up.
Needs to continue to lift weights, which will make him even more formidable in the paint, as he's primarily an effective, below the rim guy.
Reggie Cameron - 6'5", 210 pound sophomore forward, Georgetown, Symonds - Scored six points. Struggled with his shot, but to his credit is not really getting it in his sweet spots.
Cameron is...
Tre Campbell - 6'2", 170 pound freshman point guard, Georgetown, Clydes - Had his best game of the summer season; along the way to 28 points, Campbell shot, drove, passed and defended at a fairly high level. Seems as if he's getting comfortable.
Must continue to...
