On the second day in October, Georgetown's fall practice got a jolt of expectations, curiosity and excitement. Without playing an actual game.

What spurred this energy?

Freshman center Julius Halaifonua, a 7 footer from New Zealand who signed with the Hoyas later in August, took the court for his first meaningful practice. Though he was still playing on a yellow flag so to speak, as physical drills were not engaged. Nevertheless, Halaifonua impressed with his footwork, game feel and obvious tutelage. As he gets into shape, expect big things.
