Chance to scout future Hoya foe, now

November 16, 2012 - Georgetown's men's basketball team has embarked on an impressive pre-BIG EAST schedule, as in the 11 games before the squad's first league contest - a January 5th match up at Marquette - the Hoyas face four teams from so-called power conferences. That's a 36% rate of teams with more than a good chance of defeating the Hoyas, since the schools in question are UCLA, Georgia/Indiana, Tennessee and Texas.
One of these teams, Tennessee, a Southeast Conference (SEC) institution, is 2-0, having just defeated UNC-Asheville in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, an invitation only tournament in that tropical locale. Up next for the Vols is a semi-final tilt with Oklahoma State.

Beneficial to Hoya fans is this game will be televised, today; Tennessee and the OK State Cowboys go to battle at 10:30a this morning, on ESPNU.
This gives Hoya fans an opportunity to scout Tennessee, who G'Town plays November 30th at 6:30p. The Blue and Grey's Verizon Center home floor will be rocking for that BIG EAST/SEC cross-league tilt.
