Can't Knox The Hustle: Hoyas Pursue Class of 2024 Standout

As a young man with a notable bloodline and a desire to create his own route to stardom, Tampa Catholic's 2024 Karter Knox has done just that. Boasting a deadly outside shooting touch and an explosive above the rim game, Knox has rapidly ascended as one of the country's most coveted 2024 prospects.

Knox, who is of course the younger brother of former Kentucky star and Detroit Pistons forward Kevin Knox, has been around hoops for as long back as he can recall. His other brother, Kobe Knox, was a 19 PPG scorer at Tampa Catholic as well. Kobe Knox currently plays at Grand Canyon University in Arizona.

Since Karter was the youngest and got to see the others go through, he's developed into a bit of a basketball old soul. The game consumes this forward. He seems to barricade himself in the gym, firing up shots until his arms wear out.

Beyond being a deadeye shooter, Knox is a bouncy open court finisher with extravagant two way athleticism. He's able to guard multiple positions and use his length to close off passing lanes. The wiry Knox has proven himself effective at instigating turnovers and converting them into transition leak-out buckets.

Having emerged as a five star recruit, Knox made Peach Jam his personal playground this summer, navigating the lane with crafty finishing. He was also able to spread the floor out with timely 3-point shot making. Attacking the rim and leaking out into transition with a full head of steam, Knox was thunderous above the rim. Knox' sheer athletic freakism was evidenced as he busted out into open court and crammed loud dunks 3-4 feet away from the rim.

Georgetown is certainly jockeying for position in the upcoming Knox sweepstakes. They were on him early during the process and given the quick hit impact of a revamped recruiting effort, no recruit can be pigeonholed as too rich of a reach.

The competition is certainly heightening lately. LSU, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas, Louisville and USF have all upped their ante, heavily pursuing of Knox's wide ranging and two way services this summer.

With coach John Calipari's no secret success streak in helping catapult 19-year-old's into the upper percentile of the highest paid people in the world, you can't deny Kentucky's upper hand. Beyond Calipari's no secret powers of persuasion, there is the family connection with Knox' brother Kevin. Calipari's relationship with and the Knox family is also a critical factor, one which could make Kentucky the anticipated favorite.

Louisville, on the other hand, has a close connection to Knox and could be vying for his services as aggressively as anyone.
