November 4, 2019 - With Georgetown set to jump off it's 2019-20 season this Wednesday, yesterday the program held media day. An opportunity to interview players and head coach Pat Ewing, that press availability provided early insight into players and G'Town basketball.

One athlete present was sophomore point guard James Akinjo. A 6'1", 185 pound competitor from Oakland, California, Akinjo dropped 13.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists each game last season. Being a first team All BIG EAST Rookie selection in 2018-19, Akinjo paced the conference writ large in helpers, while landing 16th in scoring. League coaches tabbed him as second team all-league guy recently.

During breakout sessions, the every pugnacious discussed other BIG EAST players, being a second team preseason selection, his team's focus, having graduate transfer Terrell Allen available, the importance of being "cerebral" on the floor, learning moments last season, transitioning to the BIG EAST and becoming more of a leader.
