Today, March 20th, 2023 has been a heckuva day: The opening created by Pat Ewing's firing has culminated in Ed Cooley's hire. Yes, that same Ed Cooley, the guy that has led BIG EAST sibling Providence for 12 seasons. Expectedly, things are jumping off on-line.

A coverage road map for today:

At 8:34a, a Premium Court posting outlined competing visions of Cooley's situation, including if he planned to take the G'Town job or not, plus a possible future staff's makeup in Blue and Grey.

Later,, early in the afternoon, bread crumbs were found leading to a Cooley hire on The Hilltop.

Then came official recognition from Georgetown.

So Cooley is in the fold. Be sure to circle back for more on staff, recruiting, etc. Much will be learned in the next few weeks!
