August 7, 2011 - The highlight of college/pro hoops in the Washington, D.C. area comes to a close today, as this year's Nike Pro City summer league final is today. The site is that of all Pro City action, Georgetown's McDonough Arena. Tip off is 3p, with Clyde's and The Tombs facing off.
The Hoya program is well situated in the league's end-game: Clyde's boasts current redshirt sophomore Aaron Bowen, plus professionals Jeff Green and Austin Freeman. The Tombs is home to Georgetown's freshman class of Otto Porter, Mikael Hopkins, Jabril Trawick, Greg Whittington and Tyler Adams (he's not playing due to injury).
Fans can expect Green and Freeman to play physically - all league long Green has adopted that tact when facing Tombs - though the last time they played, a 72-46 last day of regular season blow out win for the upstarts, it wasn't successful.
Bragging rights and revenge are on the line. Come see if the freshman or 'Puppies' can get it done.
