LSUs staff apparently filled

April 27, 2012 - Just minutes ago it was broken by @EBossHoops, the twitter account of Rival.com's Eric Bossi, Robert Kirby was leaving Georgetown for Louisiana State University. The news has broadsided the Hoya Nation.
Questions like is it confirmed, what role would he play for the Tigers and how would the departure impact G'Town's recruitment are being brandied about.

Well, if he is in fact joining the Tigers, it will be as an assistant coach, at minimum. New LSU head coach Johnny Jones has recently hired Shawn Forrest and Charlie Leonard as assistants also.
The former coached with Jones at North Texas State and is known as a voracious recruiter. The latter also was on the recent North Texas staff, and his been described as an excellent bench coach.
Kirby, himself widely known as a great recruiter, would certainly bring that to Baton Rouge. On The Hilltop, he was central in luring Otto Porter this past season, and was greatly involved in the recruitment of Class of 2012 forward Devonta Pollard.
