The last regular season home game of 2022-23 is upon us for Georgetown, with the ever physical, constantly dangerous Providence Friars standing as the visitors. For those counting, it's the penultimate 2022-23 regular season chance for HC Pat Ewing et al to improve their unseemly 2-36 BIG EAST Conference record over the last two years.

Leading Ewing's bunch in scoring is sophomore guard Primo Spears' 15.4 ppg, trailed slightly by class/position mate Brandon Murray's 14.6 ppg. The third double figure scoring Hoya is the team's additional starting guard, junior Jay Heath (12.7 ppg).
Missing that scoring standard by the slimmest of margins is senior pivot Qudus Wahab, at 9.9 ppg. He leads GU via 7.3 rebounds each time out. Akok Akok, a junior forward comes in a rebound less.
From a BIG EAST global perspective, Spears is seventh in the league, Murray stands 14th. Wahab charts 6th to Akok's 13th.
On the other hand, Ed Cooley's PC's HC gets a conference leading 16.8 ppg from sophomore forward Bryce Hopkins, who also is second among BIG EAST rebounders at 8.9 rpg.
Next in line at Providence and 17th in scoring league wide is sophomore guard Devin Carter (13.2 ppg). Senior forward Ed Croswell scores 12.9 ppg, which places him 22nd in the conference.
Croswell, also stands out rebounding, pulling down 7.3 each game,. Such work has earned him seventh place in the BIG EAST.
