June 23, 2017 - After a junior season in which L.J. Peak proved himself arguably Georgetown's best and most indispensable player, the 6'5", 215 pound guard decided the professional ranks were for him. Resultantly, he left school and immediately started to work out, even trying out according to sources for the likes of Denver's Nuggets in the National Basketball Association.

Peak went unchosen in the NBA's draft yesterday, yet all is not lost on his dream of playing hoops on the world's biggest stage; per Mark Berman, of Fox 26 in Houston, Peak has signed a free agent contract with that city's Rockets.

Last season, a disappointing 14-16 G'Town affair, Peak was a bright spot, averaging 16.5 ppg and four rpg. He led the Hoyas in scoring 15 times. Most importantly, Peak was the team's toughest performer, a guy that routinely defended the foe's best perimeter player.
