Three currently stand for Waters

With the recent commitment of Trevon Duval to Duke, the dominoes are falling for Tremont Waters; a Rivals.com four star point guard ranked 37th in the Class of 2017, Waters signed with Georgetown last November, only to seek a release from it in March, one new Hoya head coach Pat Ewing eventually granted.

A list of Duke, UConn, Western Kentucky and G'Town soon developed for the 5'10", 170 pound Waters. All these schools seemingly valued his ability to score, pass and lead a team. Western Kentucky came into the picture after his G'Town decommitment.

With Duval's selection of Duval, three obviously now stand.

Who leads presently?

On our Premium Court message board, per a good source we shared this past Sunday out front for his services may be UConn's Huskies. Also there is fan discussion on landing Waters, as well as some scuttlebutt regarding his recruitment by schools no longer being considered - particularly Indiana and Kentucky.

Today in another Premium court posting, UConn's pitch, per a source was revealed; Huskie head man Kevin Ollie is predictably selling his ability to craft Waters into a pro lead guard. It makes sense as Ollie helped make Kemba Walker an NBA standout, and himself played in the National Basketball Association for 15 years.

An interesting subplot is the recruiting battle between Ollie and Ewing, the latter a Hall of Fame center with 17 NBA seasons under his belt, one that coached Walker at the NBA's Charlotte Hornets before returning to G'Town this spring. Ewing stands as the program's all time best player.
