The Govan Family speaks
May 21, 2015 - The Hoya Nation is excited Jessie Govan will join the fold this summer. A 6'10", 260 pound center, Govan committed to Georgetown in May of last year, and since has done nothing to quell expectations, as he's won NYC and state championships with Wings Academy, posting, rebounding, defending and running the floor along the way.
Govan is a product of his home, one provided by father Jessie, Sr. and mom Deanna. As his mother noted in a CTV interview at this year's Capital Classic, they are "God fearing", regularly attending church.
