WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Head Women's Basketball Coach Keith Brown announced on Monday morning that rising sophomore Taylor Brown (Bowie, Md./Bishop McNamara) will transfer.
"Taylor is a great player and a great person," said Coach Brown. "It's unfortunate that things didn't work out for her here, but I am certain that she will be an asset wherever she goes. We wish her the best."
Brown appeared in all 32 games this season, averaging 4.1 points and 1.6 rebounds.
The 5-7 guard started in 12 games posting 27 assists and managing 27 steals. She shot 38.5 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc as well as 65.5 percent from the free throw line.
Brown's career high was 13 points and six rebounds in a win over Monmouth on November 21, 2011.
She has not announced where she intends to transfer.
