Pictorial - Hoyas perform in clinic

October 1, 2013 - The Hoya Nation is excited to see this season's version of Hoya Paranoia, with discussions ranging on Premium Court regarding playing time, rotations and overall BIG EAST success. The preseason is a fun time for fans, a period chock full of anticipation.
Prior to a season is also the time when Georgetown's men's basketball team reaches out to fans and conducts clinics; during such events, the team helps expose kids to basketball fundamentals. At times, the players also perform drills.

Both occurred this past Sunday, at G'Town's McDonough Arena, when the team took the floor for a children's clinic, an event organized jointly by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company.
On the floor, the Hoyas conducted full court weaves and passing drills. They also went through shooting, big man, and half court layup/cutting routines, basically the stuff they do regularly in practice. Afterward, team members worked directly with kids at four stations, emphasizing defense, ball handling and shooting.
We have exclusive photos of the event. Click the upper right hand corner link to see the following players drilling: Mikael Hopkins, Nate Lubick, Markel Starks, David Allen, John Caprio, Aaron Bowen, Moses Ayegba and Jabril Trawick.
Up next will be the players interacting with attendees and the coaches in attendance.
