September 5, 2017 - The Hoya Nation has discussed former guard/forward L.J. Peak and his prospects for professional basketball since the recent Georgetown junior performer left school after this past season. For the record, it was a 16.3 ppg, 3.8 rpb, 3.4 apg campaign for Peak, a Gaffney, SC native.

Peak initially signed with Houston, where he competed during this summer's NBA Summer League. Recently, we reported on the Premium Court message board on August 18th he had signed a deal with Boston's Celtics. It was the first place such information was presented anywhere.

Since then, much speculation has occurred as to the nature of Peak's Boston deal, the possibility of him attaining two-way player status being central: The NBA and related G-League has created this new player designation, one that acts as a 'taxi-squad' in which two players are both members of that NBA franchise and the G-League squad, can spend no more than 45 days in the 'L', and get paid based on the number of days in each league.

Peak has not been tagged as such by Boston, but he is headed to training camp, a confab scheduled to begin in the next few weeks. The team's preseason slate starts October 2nd.
