December 14, 2018 - Georgetown’s Hoyas take the court soon, welcoming an American Athletic Conference foe. Info follows:

Georgetown, coached by Pat Ewing, shoots 46.4% from the field, 35.5% beyond the three point arc. Foes mange 43.1% and 34.7%, respectively. Rebounding sees another Hoya advantage, besting opponents 39.1 rpg to 32.9.

From a player perspective, senior center Jessie Govan leads GU with 19.8 points per game and 8.1 rebounds a contest. James Akinjo, a freshman guard follows him with 13 ppg, while another frosh, forward Josh LeBlanc, pulls down 7.3 caroms per game.

SMU, coached by Tim Jankovich, shoots 46.2% overall and 35.3% on three balls. Those competing against the Mustangs have managed to less from the field (45%), yet lead them from beyond the arc (38%). Jankovich's guys pull down 5.7 rebounds per game more than those teams faced (35.7 rpg to 30 rpg).

Jahmal McMurray, a senior guard, pours in a team best 18.7 ppg for SMU, joined in double figure scoring by sophomore forward Ethan Chargois’ 13.8 ppg. Jimmy Whitt, Jr, (junior guard) and Isiaha Mike (sophomore guard), contribute 11.8 and 10.2 ppg, respectively.

Chargois leads these Mustangs with 7.2 rpg, freshman forward Feron Hunt trails at 6.9 rpg with Whitt following closely by pulling down 6.3 rpg each game.
