After having been bedeviled by an Achilles heel setback and subsequent difficulty grabbing more minutes, redshirt junior forward Akok Akok bolted form UConn and headed south, picking Georgetown as his new college home this year. For the '21-22 season he logged 3.6 points and 3.2 rebounds, each time out.

Akok's now likely to start for head coach Pat Ewing's Hoyas.
