Johnson chooses the Hoyas

January 28, 2015 - Last night was not good for the Hoyas on the floor, given their loss to Xavier. The program did receive some great recruiting news on the recruiting front; according to several sources, Class of 2015 guard/forward Kaleb Johnson has committed.
A 6'7", 185 pound multifaceted player, Johnson is expected to play a swingman role for Georgetown. Think Jabril Trawick and Aaron Bowen, both present Hoyas, with more shooting and handling skill than either had at the same stage. He's athletic, attacks the rim and has worked on his jumper. "A left handed Reggie Williams" is how Johnson was also described, referencing the Hoya great of the mid-eighties.

A 4.2 GPA senior at Carlisle School (VA), Johnson was on campus the last few days for an official visit, which included attending the game.
G'Town bested the likes of Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia Tech, East Carolina and William and Mary for his services. He joins Jessie Govan and Marcus Derrickson in the upcoming class of 'Puppies' or Hoya frosh.
Leading Johnson's recruitment was head coach John Thompson III and assistant coach Kevin Broadus.
More will come later on Johnson!
