Hilltop not next stop for Seventh
November 11, 2015 - This morning around 10a EST at Columbia, SC's Hammond School, Class of 2016 guard Seventh Woods chose UNC over South Carolina and Georgetown. The Hoyas were officially in contention but widely believed not to land him.
South Carolina, on the other hand, was rumored to be possibly the front runner. Clint Jackson, Tar Hill Illustrated's Recruiting Analyst tweeted of the choice " Seventh Woods follows his heart to Chapel Hill. It's over folks. UNC for the super athletic guard".

National College Basketball and Recruiting Writer for NBC Sports, Scott Phillips, labeled Woods' selection on Twitter "a bit of a surprise. Many had South Carolina as the favorite entering this week. Big one for UNC".

Woods is the 35th ranked player in his class according to Rivals.com, and holds a four star designation.
