Get back is on menu tonight

January 27, 2015 - The last time Georgetown faced Xavier, the Hoyas were served a heaping portion of humble pie, being blasted 70-53 in Cincinnati. New Year's Eve was not a joyous occasion for the Hoya Nation.
Today at 7p, the Blue and Grey have a chance for redemption. Get back if you must.

"It's always redemption when you lose early in the season and get a second crack at a team" said junior guard D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera yesterday during a pregame presser. "The same thing with Butler when we played them earlier in the Bahamas we got a second crack at them and got that done, so hopefully we can do it again".
Tickets for the game, a Verizon Center affair, can be purchased here.
FoxSports1 has the television broadcast, while Rich Chvotkin's radio call can be heard on 980 AM. Utilize our real time, in-game chat thread as a companion/alternative to either.
What can the Hoyas expect from the Musketeers, 13-7 and 4-4, good for sixth in the BIG EAST? We discuss that on Premium Court, including the motor that makes Xavier's impressive offensive attack go, senior center Matt Stainbrook. Head coach John Thompson III along with senior big men Mikael Hopkins and Joshua Smith, plus Smith-Rivera comment on Stainbrook and a host of other topics, including rebounding, defense, zone offense and rankings.
Will the Hoyas (14-5, 6-2 and ranked 21/22 nationally) extend their win streak to five games, in the process safeguarding their first place position in the BIG EAST? Can Thompson's team tamp down X's dynamic offense, one positioned first in the league in scoring offense and shooting percentage, a task made harder by the questionable status of starting guard/forwards Jabril Trawick and L.J. Peak, a senior and freshman respectively? Is get back for the Cincy beat down in the cards?
Tonight answers will be known.
For expected recruit game attendees, a list culled via high school and AAU sources, i.e a lot of work) see Premium Court).
