Garza to visit

June 23, 2016 - Georgetown has shown interest in Class of 2017 C/F Luka Garza for months. This pursuit first started last high school season when Garza starred at Maret (DC), while continuing this travel team season with Team Takeover 17u on Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL).

The courtship continues: Per an AAU source, Garza plans to unofficially visit G'Town today. It's his second such Hilltop sojourn within the last few months.

Currently high majors such as Lousiville, Iowa, Pittsburgh, UCF, Alabama, Penn State, Northwestern, Indiana and DePaul have tendered scholarship offers to Garza. Joining them are a host of mid-major schools, including St. Joe's, La Salle, Princeton, Columbia, George Washington and JMU. Nebraska is a college, like Georgetown, that is showing interest yet hasn't offered to date.

Rivals.com has affixed a three star designation to Luka.
