After outlasting Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference foe Howard (more is here), Sunday, Georgetown (3-4) welcomes another MEAC competitor this evening. In flies the Coppin State Eagles.

The Eagles, coached by Michael Grant are 0-8 on the season, playing away from their Baltimore, MD, Physical Education Complex home seven times. Coppin was picked 10th in MEAC preseason polling, and is presently engaged in the guarantee game portion of its schedule, thereby helping fund the schools athletic department.

Senior swingman Josh Treadwell paces the Eagles with 10.8 ppg, followed by Tre Thomas’ 9.6 ppg, while Keith Shivers logs 8.1 points each time out. He and Thomas are a senior forward and junior guard, respectively.

Grant’s has bunch scored 60.8 ppg, shot 32.3% from the field and 28.9% on three balls. The Eagles have pulled down 37.1 caroms per game, dished out 7.9 assists each time out and shoots 61.1% from the free throw line. When it comes to giveaways, Coppin accounts for 13.8 a contest, while also swiping 5.9 steals each tilt.

John Thompson III’s Hoyas are led in points by graduate forward Rodney Pryor (19.1 ppg) on a team best 56.5% from the field and 50% beyond the arc. The BIG EAST Conference included Pryor in the most recent Weekly Honor Roll for recent performance.

L.J. Peak, a junior guard, comes in second by logging 15.9 ppg. Sophomore big man Jessie Govan comes in after him with 8.3 points each game.

Hoya team numbers: Scoring (75.6 ppg), FG% (44.6), 3pt% (36), rebounds (32.3), assists (13.1 pg), turnovers (16 pg), steals (7.7 pg).
