Domingo leaves

April 10, 2014 - After weeks of speculation, a Georgetown source confirmed it; sophomore swingman Stephen Domingo has decided to transfer. No official announcement is expected.
Last season was one of little impact for Domingo, who averaged .5 points and .5 rebounds in 4.5 minutes over 19 games for Georgetown (18-15). His highs this campaign were 19 minutes, three points and two rebounds.

Domingo matriculated to the Hilltop in the winter of 2013, eschewing the final half a year of his high school career in the process. To find out what the former St. Ignatius (CA) said about doing so, something found nowhere else, see Premium Court.
A former USA Basketball U17 champion, Domingo was known as a dead eye shooter, though at Georgetown he was never able to can shots in games - last season he shot 21.4% from the field and sank 11.1% of this three pointers.
Apparently those in and around the program saw his ability to do so, as former Blue and Grey standout Austin Freeman acknowledged Domingo's shooting prowess and suggested he must now more fully develop his ball handling.
Standing 6'6" and weighing over 200 pounds, Domingo possesses long arms and a good level of athletic ability. His confidence seemed to wane in shooting the ball, possibly brought about by non-makes as well as mechanical inconsistency.
His next collegiate step is not known.
