DMV rocking this weekend with showcases

December 13, 2012 - As if last weekend wasn't enough, the District-Maryland-Virginia area is again treated to top level high school basketball. Again, two events take center stage.
The DMV Tip Off Classic, held at Wise HS (12650 Brooke Lane, Upper Marlboro, MD) boasts six games set for December 15th. Starting at noon and running through the evening, the Classic will have a number of guys on G'Town's recruiting board, including Tre Campbell and Chinanu Onuaku - a Class of 2014 guard and center respectively, amongst others.

Cost is $10 all day, and tickets can be purchased on site. For schedule information and a listing of top players participating - guys who are set to enroll at Maryland Roddy Peters and Damonte Dodd, VCU (Jairus Lyles), Seton Hall, Boston College (Garland Owens), NC State (Beejay Anya), North Carolina A&T (Khary Doby), Miami, Bradley, Delaware, Kansas (Frank Mason) and elsewhere - click here.
Also on tap this weekend is the DMV Elite Holiday Classic: Set for both Saturday and Sunday at Trinity University (125 Michigan Ave. NE WDC), the DMV Elite event will provide another opportunity for recruitniks to see Class of 2014 swingman Dion Wiley, who the Hoyas have offered.
To find out more schedule information - the cost is $10 a day, $5 for students - click here. Again, guys that are set to attend major schools like Villanova (Josh Hart), and Seton Hall (Aquille Carr), in addition to Kansas's Mason. Of course that's but a snapshot of who will be present.
It's another weekend of super hot high school hoops in the DMV.
