Hoya Alumnae fall to Mystics

June 10, 2013 - Last Saturday, ex-Hoyas Rebekka Brunson and Sugar Rodgers returned to DC, this time as members of the Minnesota Lynx. Their foe, the Washington Mystics, defended home court, defeating these visitors 85-50.

Rodgers, a rookie, did not play, while Brunson, in her ninth year, logged an impressive 21 points and 17 rebounds, along with three assists.

Present are photos of Washington's Ivory Latta and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt (formerly of UNC), Matee Ajavon and Kia (Rutgers), along with Crystal Langhorne (MD) and others.

The Lynx are represented by UConn's Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus (LSU) and Lindsay Whalen (Minnesota), in addition to Brunson and Rodgers of course.

For the record, while Rodgers is enduring a rookie transition tallying three points and 1.5 rebounds a game, Brunson is logging 12.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 helpers each time out.
