May 11, 2013May 11, 2013 - As revealed this week on Hoyareport.com, senior transfer center Tarik Black, formerly of Memphis, visited Georgetown this past weekend. Due to receiving his degree in May, Black, a 6'9", 260 pound performer will be available to play immediately at whatever school he lands.
Memphis has put a prohibition of him not attending a school on the Tigers' schedule this year. It's coach, Josh Pastner, has reportedly blessed Black's decision to depart. Last year, a 31-5 campaign for Memphis that ended in the NCAA Tournament's third round, Black averaged 8.1 points and 4.8 rebounds each time out.
Many schools other than G'Town have been noted as pursuing Black, including Kansas, Oregon, Duke, San Diego State and Minnesota.
