May 25, 2012May 25, 2002 - The JT3 Basketball School, Georgetown head coach John Thompson III's yearly hoops camp, is partnering with a pair of G'Town alumni in offering two free rides to the event; Roy Hibbert and Jeff Green have each pledged to sponsor a boy. The awards will be garnered by winners of essay (Hibbert) and drawing (Green) contests.
All those willing to be sponsored by either of the former Blue and Grey All-Americans and present professionals have to submit a 400 word or less essay, or a single page, 8.5 x 11 inch drawing. The theme for either written work or graphic representation must be "What it means to be a Hoya".
The deadline for all work is Wednesday, June 13th, with Georgetown's Basketball Office being in receipt of the artistic efforts. Only boys ages 8-13 who have not taken any seventh grade classes are eligible.

The camp runs from Sunday, June 24 and run through Wednesday, June 27. G'Town's McDonough Arena will be the site for this sleep overnight confab, though a commuter option exists. Prior to that session, interested parties may opt for a non-residence camp, set for Monday, June 18 - Sunday, June 22. Information for both is here.
