March 16, 2012 - As the Georgetown Hoyas boarded eagerly boarded the bus, beginning their 2012 NCAA Tournament experience on Wednesday, John Thompson III addressed the media. As the bus idled, both print and broadcast journalists peppered him questions regarding not only the team's initial foe Belmont, but the regarding the Big Dance generally.

During the dramatic session - bright day, bus waiting for him to leave, reporters huddled around the coach - Thompson discussed: Belmont's similarities with Notre Dame, readiness of seniors, personal excitement, feelings about exceeding expectations this year, Henry Sims' improvement as measured by BIG EAST Tournament, embracing tourney history and learning from it, Jack the Bulldog, pulse of freshman and possibly tempering their excitement and President Obama's picks.
