Tim Molton was the catalyst for Louisiana Tech's victory over Utah State. Molton left the game late in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. Molton confirmed via Facebook that he tore his ACL.

Molton signed with LSU out of high school and redshifted his first year there. During the summer following his redshift year, Molton had established himself as one of the Tigers most consistent receivers during spring and summer workouts until tearing his ACL.

Following his injury, Molton transferred to Louisiana Tech.

The ACL Molton tore Saturday was not the same ACL he tore at LSU.

During the Utah State game, Molton 8 carries for 93 yards and an average 11.6 yards a carry. Also, receiving, he had 3 receptions 34 yards, 1 touchdown, and 11.3 yards per reception.
