Up close with Ealey
WaShaun Ealey was quickly becoming one of the more sought after running backs in the country early in 2008 before he decided the University of Georgia was the place for him. The Twin City (Ga.) native rushed for over 2,900 yards and he scored 58 touchdowns as a junior while leading E.C.I. to the State title.
Ealey picked up offers from schools like Florida, South Carolina, Auburn, and Florida State, but he decided the minute that Georgia offered him a scholarship that he wanted to be a Bulldog.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound back will likely be a member of the Rivals100 in the near future and the Dawgs got themselves another good one to run between the hedges.
We visited Emanuel County Institute recently and we sat down with Ealey to talk about his commitment, why he chose the Dawgs so early, what he will bring to Athens, and more. You can watch the full interview here.
